Update - Diana died peacefully in the pasture on 26 May 2012.
Diana is not the prettiest of alpacas but she produces beautiful babies. Although Diana looks to be white or cream when given a first glance in the pasture, she has fawn fibers throughout her fleece. Her offspring on our farm have tended toward this same colouring which at times almost looks to be creamy-pink. Diana is also extremely calm and tranquil to the point of having to push her out of the way as you move about the barn. All of her offspring seem to have inherited this tranquility as well. At her current age, her fleece has ‘blown out’ but is still good for duvet batting. Diana carries her pregnancies without difficulties and still has a number of years in which she is capable of producing crias.
