Calypso Moon Alpacas is a family farm established in 2002 by Peter Kerby and Jo-ann Ferreira on forty-three acres of 'marginal' farmland in Tamworth, Ontario . We are dedicated to making the process of owning alpacas easy and affordable for others who wish to also enjoy a rural lifestyle. Many people dream of living in the country, caring for animals, and being more connected with the natural beauty of their environment. We truly wish to make these dreams a reality.

Since beginning, we have watched our herd increase in numbers and experienced the thrill of being present to the birth of new members. The 'breeding bug' soon caught us as we focused on improving the quality of fleece produced by successive breedings and generations of alpacas. As our herd has grown, there have been a great deal of growth for us as well as we learned how to care for the alpacas with respect, to turn their exquisite fleece into products and income, to be responsible stewards of the land, and to make known to others the opportunities that raising alpacas offer. We have come to appreciate the importance of the knowledge we have gained and see it as being a valuable asset which we can offer to others along with the alpacas themselves and the products produced from their fleece.
